Objective of WB Banglar Bari Scheme
The main objective of this scheme is to allow residents to avail housing opportunities through this scheme and secure a safe place for their living in the state, and remove homelessness completely from the state of West Bengal. Under this scheme, the government provides financial support to selected beneficiaries through direct bank transfer so that they can easily construct their own home and continue their life with proper housing access.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the housing scheme, an applicant needs to clear the following eligibility criteria. These are as mentioned below:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- Applicant must be a homeless resident of the state.
- Applicant must not have proper housing access.
- Applicants must belong to economically weaker sections, women-headed families, and families from minority communities.
- The combined family income of applying candidates must be less than Rs 10,000 per month from all sources of income.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Applicants from other states are not eligible to apply.
- Applicant receives benefits from any other housing welfare scheme or is not covered.
- Applicants’ family members who are income taxpayers are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants whose combined family income is more than Rs 10,000 per month are ineligible.
