This scheme was first launched on 17 September 2023 by the Prime Minister as so for as of 24 June 2025, benefiting over 29.447 people from different work categories in the nation.
Under this scheme government provides a hub of benefits to selected vishwakarma, including loans at low interest rates, skill training programs, and incentives to buy equipment to continue they are work in 18 trades. About PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2025
The “PM Vishwakarma Yojana” is a centrally-sponsored scheme designed by the Central Government of India for the Welfare of Vishwakarma in the country. This scheme is just like a helping hand given to artisans, craftsmen man and all those workers who are engaged in this work by providing financial support to them so that they are able to continue their daily working activities without any financial issues and enhance their skills and knowledge in their fields.
Under this scheme government targets those citizens who are engaged in services like weavers, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, tailors, potters, sculptors, laundry workers, by providing benefits so that they can improve their quality of life and get access to enhance their work by using new techniques and convert old-fashioned work into new work. Under this scheme government provides a loan of up to Rs. 2 lakhs to deserving artisans in two installments at a concessional interest rate of 5% per annum.

Motive of PM Vishwakarma Yojana
The main motive of this scheme is to help artisans by providing a hub of benefits to selected vishwakarma’s, including loans at a low interest rate, skill training programs, and incentives to buy equipment to continue they are work in 18 trades. Under this scheme, artisans and craft when will be recognized through PM Vishwakarma certificates and identity cards. This scheme allows Vishwakarma’s to continue doing their work by offering benefits to them. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2025, applicant needs to clear the following eligibility criteria’s these are as follows:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
- Applicant must be an artisan or craftsperson working with hands and tools by profession.
- Applicant must be engaged in an unorganized sector or on a self-employed basis.
- Applicant must be enrolled in one of the 18 family-based traditional trades mentioned in the scheme.
- The age of the applicant must be more than 18 years at the time of application.
- Applicant must be engaged in the concerned trade on the date of registration.
- Applicants in government services and their family members shall not be eligible for the scheme.
- Applicant must not be enrolled and receive benefits from similar credit-based schemes of the Central Government or State Government for self-employment/ business development, such as PMEGP, PM SVANidhi, Mudra, in the past 5 years.
- Note:- The registration and benefits under the scheme shall be restricted to one member of the family.

Benefits
- Recognition as Vishwakarma:- Under this scheme government provides a means of identification to all the Vishwakarma in the form of a certificate and ID Card.
- Skilling & Training:- Under this scheme government provides basic and advanced training to the vishwakarma’s skill verification, followed by 5 to 7 days (40 hours) of basic training. On the other hand, interested candidates can also enroll for 15 days (120 hours) of advanced training.
- Total Budget:– For the successful implementation of the scheme government has allocated a total of Rs. 13,000 crore as a budget for the five years till FY 2027-28, ensuring that no artisan is left out from receiving benefits from this scheme.
- Training Stipend:- Under this scheme government provides a training stipend of Rs 500 per day to selected Vishwakarma.
- Credit Support:- Under the scheme government provides collateral-free enterprise development loans of Rs 1 lakh for the First Tranche for 18 months repayment and Rs 2 lakh for the Second Tranche for 30 months repayment respectively.
- Marketing Support:- Under this, the National Committee for Marketing (NCM) will provide services such as quality certificate branding and promotion, trade fair, advertising publicity, and other marketing activities to support workers in the organised sector.

Salient Features
- Toolkit Incentive:- Along with this government also provides a toolkit incentive by granting Rs 15,000.
- Concessional Interest Rate:- Under this scheme, 5% to be charged from the beneficiaries with an interest subvention cap of 8% to be paid by MoMSME.
- Total Trades Covered:-Under this, 18 traditional occupations were covered in the first phase.
- Credit Guarantee Fee:- In this scheme, credit guarantee fees are to be borne by Gol.
- Digital Transaction Incentive:- Under this, Rs 1 per transaction for a maximum of 100 transactions monthly.
- Incentive Disbursement Notification:- In this scheme, notifications to beneficiaries on the disbursement of the incentive will be done via SMS.

How to Register Online for PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2025?
To register for PM Vishwakarma, the applicant must have to follow these steps:-
- Visit the official PM Vishwakarma website.
- Once the applicant reaches the home page of the official website, they need to click on the option called Login.
- As the applicant clicks, new options will open on the screen.
- Now the applicant needs to click on the “CSC-Register Artisan” option.
- As the applicant clicks, a CSC user login interface will appear on the screen.
- Now the applicant needs to log in by using the CSC username and password along with the captcha code shown in the image.
- After that applicant needs to click on the Sign in option to log in.
- Now the applicant needs to select “No” in ‘Is there any government employee within your family?’ and ‘ Have you availed credit/ loan facility under similar schemes of Central Government or State Government for self-employment/business development, suggest PMEGP or have an outstanding loan under PM- PM-SVANidhi on Mudra?.
- After that, click on the Continue
- As the applicant clicks Aadhar verification page will appear.
- Now the applicant needs to enter the Aadhar link mobile number and enter their Aadhar number of artisans.
- Now click on the OTP button and do OTP verification received on the Aadhar link mobile number.
- After that applicant needs to enter the OTP and complete Aadhar authentication by using biometrics for authentication using Click on the biometric button and do biometric authentication.
- After successful biometric authentication, a registration form will appear on the screen.
- Now the applicant needs to enter all the ask details such as Name, Father’s Name, DOB, Gender, Marital Status, Category of artisan, and other related details.
- After filling in all the details, one quickly reviews all of them.
- Click on the Submit button to complete the process.
