Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Thalliki Vandanam, an applicant first meets the following eligibility criteria:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- Applicant must be a school-going child.
- Applicant must be a student studying in a government school, private aided, or unaided schools in the state.
- Applicant must have a ration card.
- Applicant’s monthly electricity consumption must be less than 300 units per month.
- Applicant must be a regular student with annual attendance of must be 75% in an academic year.
- Applicant land holding must be less than 3 acres of wetland or less than 10 acres of dry land, 10 acres, or a combination of both.
- Applicant must not be enrolled in any other similar scheme offered by either the Central or state government.
- The monthly income of the applying student’s family must be less than Rs 10,000 for rural and Rs 12,000 for urban areas, respectively.
- Applicant’s mother’s bank account must be linked with the Aadhaar card.
Ineligibility Criteria
- The applicant is not a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- Applicant or any member is an Income Tax payer.
- Applicant or family member in the family employed in the Central or State Government, excluding sanitation workers.
- Applicant possesses a four-wheeler excluding taxi, auto, and tractors.
- Applicants enrolled in ITI polytechnic IIT and other similar courses, benefiting from free reimbursement, will not be covered by the government under the scheme.
