Pre Matric Scholarship
Pre Metric Scholarship is the most common type of scholarship available for students who study in classes 9th and 10th. Under this, the government provides financial support to deserving and desired students based on the clearance of eligibility parameters, so that they can continue their studies without any financial dependence on others and reduce the dropout rate across the state.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Pre-Matric Scholarship, an applicant needs to meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- Applicant must be a student by occupation.
- Applicant must be a student enrolled in classes 9th and 10th.
- Applicant must belong to the SC/ST/ and General categories.

Post-Matric Scholarship
The “Post Metric Scholarship” is available for those students who are enrolled in classes 11th-12th and other higher education level courses, including UG, PG, and Technical Professional courses in the state. Under this program, the government helps students in covering educational expenses by providing financial support to them so that they can easily tackle the high fee structure and manage their studies without any financial problems.
This Post Metric Scholarship is further classified into two components, namely Post Metric Scholarship other than intermediate and Post Metric Scholarship outside the state.
Components of Post-Matric Scholarship
The post-metric is further classified into two components, namely post-metric outside the state and post-metric other than Intermediate.
- Post Matric Other than Intermediate:- The post matric other than intermediate refers to the scholarship or financial aid for students for continuing education beyond the intermediate class 11th– 12th level, such as diploma graduation post-graduation courses in educational institutions recognised by a university or board, by helping students to cover their educational expenses by providing financial support to deserving students
- Post-Matric Outside the State:- This component of post matric is a category of a Post Secondary Education scholarship program that provide financial support to students from EWS sections of various social income communities to pursue studies outside their home state by providing educational opportunities in the form of scholarship so that they can bridge the gap in the pursuit of studies wish to study in a state other than the one they permanently belongs to.
