Objective of MMUA
The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial support to deserving women so that they can start their own business without any dependence on others and make them independent in the state. Under this scheme, the government allocates approximately a total of Rs. 4000 crore as a budget for the effective implementation of this scheme in the state, ensuring that more and more women can participate and benefit from this scheme.
This scheme aims to provide benefits to over 39 lakh working women by supporting them through financial support and encouraging them to generate their income by starting their entrepreneurial journey in the state. The main aim of this scheme is to allow women to earn at least INR 1 lakh potentially.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scheme, an applicant needs to clear the following eligibility criteria. These are as mentioned below:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Applicant must be a SHG worker woman.
- Applicant must not take any loan for payment related to SHG banks or a credit institution.
- Applicant must submit a viable business plan for their enterprise.
- Applicant must have 3 for General / OBC and 4 for SC/ST children, respectively.
- Applicant must be enrolled in any one of the income-generating activities in the state.
- Applicant has a girl child of school-going age, then the girl child should be admitted in a school.
- Applicant must have their own bank account seeded with the Aadhar card.
- Applicant must take part in Amrit Brikshya Andolan by planting and maintaining a sapling.
- If applicable, is it necessary to submit a Sankalp Patra Pledge Letter Committing to restricting the number of children to two, if she belongs to the general flash OBC category, and phone numbers of children if she belongs to the ST/SC/Moran/Matak/Tea and tea tribal community.
