To be eligible for PM Dhan Dhanya, the applicant needs to meet the following eligibility criteria:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
- Applicant must be a small and marginal farmer by occupation.
- Applicant must belong to any of the 100 targeted districts selected by Niti Aayog
- Applicant must not avail any benefit from any other farmers’ welfare scheme.
- Women farmers and self-help groups (SHGs) seeking financial empowerment can also apply for this scheme.
- Applicant must have an Aadhar-seeded bank account.
District Selection Criteria Under PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Scheme
Under this PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana 2025, the selection of districts based on the parameters:-
- Low Productivity:- This parameter includes the condition where the yield of crops or the output of agricultural goods is significantly lower than the potential resulting factors, including Limited access to technology, small and fragmented land holdings who are irrigation old farming methods, and environmental issues that affect farming, including drought and soil degradation.
- Moderate Crop Intensity: Under this scheme, the government targets districts with a humid to semi-humid climate and moderate soil capacity, where farmers rotate crops on the same piece of land one to two times a year, but typically not more than 1.5 times annually.
- Below Average Credit Availability:- Those districts that have low or below average credit availability are covered by the government under this scheme
