The “MP Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana” is a mass marriage scheme designed by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department government of Madhya Pradesh for each eligible bride, including girls, widows, or abundant widows participating in the mass marriage ceremony in the state. This scheme was first introduced in 2006 by the government to provide financial assistance for the mass marriage of girls from the General, OBC, SC ST categories and from destitute families.
Under this scheme, the age of the bride must be at least 18 years old, and the groom must be at least 21 years old at the time of application. Under this schema, there is a special criterion for the organizing bodies that conduct the mass marriage ceremony will receive Rs 6,000 per beneficiary.
