Eligibility Criteria (Rural Area)

  • Applicant must be a permanent resident of rural India.
  • Applicants with only one room with kutcha walls and a kutcha roof are able to apply
  • Applicants with no adult member between the ages of 16 to 59 are able to apply
  • Rural households with no adult male member between the ages of 16 to 59 can apply
  • Applicants who a disabled members and have no able-bodied adult members are able to apply for the card
  • Applicants belonging to the SC/ST category in rural areas can also be eligible to apply for the same.
  • Applicant who are landless households deriving a major part of their income from manual casual labor are able to apply for the card.

  • Home-based worker/ Artisan/ Handicrafts worker/ Tailor
  • Transport worker/ Driver/ Conductor/ Helper to drivers and conductors/ Cart puller/ Rickshaw puller
  • Shop worker/ Assistant/ Peon in small establishment/ Helper/Delivery assistant / Attendant/ Waiter
  • Electrician/ Mechanic/ Assembler/ Repair worker
  • Washer-man/ Chowkidar

Exclusion Criteria

  • Applicant who owns a two, three, or four-wheeler or a motorized fishing boat.
  • Applicant who owns mechanized farming equipment.
  • Applicants who have Kisan cards with a credit limit of ₹50,000/- can’t apply for the same
  • Applicant who either works in government-managed non-agricultural enterprises or as government servants in government offices are unable to apply.
  • Annual income more than₹10,000/- is ineligible to apply for the scheme.
  • Applicants owning refrigerators and landlines are unable to apply for the same
  • Applicant who has 5 acres or more of agricultural land are not able to apply.
