What is the Devnarayan Chatra Scooty Scheme 2025?
The “Devnarayan Chatra Scooty” is a state-oriented two-wheeler transport support scheme designed by the Government of Rajasthan for all the girl students who belong to economically backward classes in the region and secure meritorious marks in their 12th examination from Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education / Central Board of Secondary Education and have been admitted to a government college or state-funded University located in Rajasthan.
Under this scheme, the government targets meritorious Students by providing a total of 1500 scooties at no cost every year according to the merit list of marks secured in the class 12th examination. Also, those girls who are studying regularly in government colleges, funded universities, and whose names were not in the merit list will receive incentive support in the first year, 2nd year, and 3rd year of college. Furthermore, girls enrolled in PG courses and not in the list of selected students will get an incentive amount for obtaining 50% or more marks in the first year of post-graduation.

Objective of Devnarayan Scooty Yojana
The main objective of this scheme is to provide a vehicle facility to girls students belonging to extremely backward classes who secured meritorious marks in the 12th class examination. Under this scheme, the government provides a total of 1500 Scooty to the first meritorious students who secure merit, and their names will be in the merit list. Also, the government provides incentive support to other remaining girls so that they can encourage themselves to pursue higher studies and continue their studies without any problem.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Devnarayan Scooty, applicants need to meet the following eligibility requirements as listed below:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
- Applicant must belong to extremely backward classes, including Banjara, Baldia, Lambana, Gadiya black Smith, Gadoliya Gujjar, Gurjar, Raika, Raibari shepherd, and cowherd.
- Applicant must be a regular girl student studying in a Government College / University.
- Applicant must not be enrolled in any other similar scheme.
- Applicant must not be a dropout student.
- Applicant must be a student who has scored 50% or above marks in class 12, the examination conducted by Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education / Central Board of Secondary Education, and have been admitted to a government college or state-funded University available in Rajasthan.
- The annual income of a student’s family must be less than Rs 2.5 lakh per annum from all sources of income.
